Five generations. One ladder.
Every coin is installed at 8-BIT. As its market cap grows, it upgrades: its sheet changes era, and its picture gains colours and resolution. Size is market cap as a percent of the Y2K mark.
Questions
What happens when I install a coin?
Your wallet creates the coin on Stonks (Raydium LaunchLab) in one transaction: name, ticker, picture and an optional first buy. You are its creator. It appears in the DIR at 8-BIT as soon as the network confirms it.
How is the size measured?
The site reads the coin's curve on chain, prices it in dollars through its pair, and multiplies by the supply of one billion. Size is that market cap as a percent of the Y2K mark. It refreshes every 30 seconds.
Can a coin go down a generation?
Yes. The generation follows the size at the moment you look. A coin that loses size goes back to the tier it fits.
What are the fees?
Stonks takes 1 % of each trade and Raydium 0.25 %. The creator and retrocomputing get 0 %. Installing costs only the network fee and your optional first buy.
Which pairs can I use?
The 23 pairs Stonks offers, SOL and USDC among them. The first buy is paid in the pair you pick.
Is the picture changed?
No. The picture you upload is the one stored in the coin's metadata. The site only displays it at your generation's resolution and colours, and shows it untouched at Y2K.
What are the demo files?
While no coin is installed, the DIR shows demo files, each marked demo. They are not coins and cannot be bought.
